【Laboratory】 New Laboratory (assumed name: Behavioral Neurophysiology Lab), RIKEN Brain Science Institute
【Research Field】
We focus on causal relationship between neural activity and animal behavior. Using 2-photon microscopy, macro-brain imaging, fiberoptic imaging and optogenetic techniques, we examine neural activity at the single-cell and network level in vivo. We are interested in hiring post-docs interested in behavioral neurophysiology beginning January 2010.

【Qualification】
The candidate should be enthusiastic about behavioral neurophysiology and possess a doctoral degree in a related field and research experience of electrophysiology and/or imaging.

Laboratory for Behavioral Neurophysiology is located at following address:

【Conditions】
Annual contract, renewable through performance assessment up to 5 years. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Commuting and housing allowances provided. Social benefits including insurance apply. Normal public holidays apply including New Year's (Dec. 29 - Jan 3), and RIKEN Foundation Day.
These and other provisions are in accordance with RIKEN regulations.
Also, the candidate is eligible for an exemption from repayment for category 1 scholarship loans provided by the Japan Student Services Organization before fiscal year 2003. Eligibility determined by applying for the MEXT Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (Kakenhi).
