Message from the President regarding 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake

To All Members of The Physiological Society of Japan

On behalf of The Physiological Society of Japan, I would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake.

As aftershocks continue, we are deeply concerned about those who remain in difficult circumstances, including those living in evacuation shelters and those engaged in recovery efforts. We also extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives.

The Physiological Society of Japan sincerely hopes for the safety and well-being of all affected members and everyone in the disaster-stricken areas, and we pray for the earliest possible recovery and reconstruction of the affected communities.

The Society will continue to monitor the situation closely and, as necessary, will make every effort to support affected members while taking appropriate measures regarding Society activities and administrative procedures.

To all our members, we kindly ask that you continue to place the highest priority on the safety of yourselves and your families.
